Thought I’d take a minute to leave a comment from an owner. Picked up my 2024 RR on August 1st. Like others, watched every review to make this decision. MPG in this video was of concern so sharing real experience. Currently on second tank of fuel, 20.4 average mpg on the daily commute of 70+ miles and combined for the tank is 18.3 mpg. Very impressed with the mpg and expect that to continue. Other truck is a 23 F250 7.3 Tremor that averages mid 13 mpg on the same commute so this is my commuter! The RR is an excellent truck, don’t hesitate to buy if you’re in a similar position.

GM absolutely did a good thing in going mid-engine and with the Z06! However, they completely F ed up the design of the rear end, the dash, the HMI and the HVAC controls in the interior!!! No doubt it is the best bang for the buck for performance in that category. However, if someone who really can afford a supercar and not a poser, they will just buy the real thing and not have to settle for the God awful interior and the dash and HMI display and the HVAC control buttons down a rail that all looked like they were pieced together at the last moment and the different design groups never spoke to each other!!! I'd just rather spend the money and buy the Technica and be done with it. Yes, it is a lot more money but at least I won't have to be stuck looking at an interior that was done by a 2nd rate design team!!! 😂😂😂

Here in South Africa, we get this with a diesel engine. It's very good in fuel and has heaps of torque from very low rpm's. Awesome vehicle 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I’m getting 15mpg in mixed driving over the last 2 months. You gotta reset the computer dumbazs! And the 10 speed is awesome so STFU about it.

Thimble size fuel tank is ridiculous but so is its thirst. The V6 doesn’t sound all that great. But it’s a unique vehicle that the market has been crying out for. Well done Ford. Now about a V8…

I think something is wrong with that truck if you’re getting 12mph. I don’t drive conservative at all and have never dipped under 17. I hate even talking about mpgs because it’s so application based but 12 is beyond abnormal.

I got my Ranger Raptor in April and have almost 6k miles on it so far. The fuel economy in real world driving hovers around 15-16mpg driving like your typical dickhead who likes vroom pshh noises. I’ve gotten as high as 19.5 mpg on the highway but you have to keep it below 75mph.

My 67 year old wife just got hers 2 months ago. She says it’s the best car or truck she’s ever owned. I rarely get to drive it. When I do get a chance it’s usually because she wants something and is blackmailing me with the opportunity to drive it, but my F150 Raptor R will be arriving next march (2025). Then (to coin an old phrase), “What goes around comes around”.

Who in their right mind uses a turbo and a bunch of luxury features on an off-road vehicle? Not only is the price insane, the mainanence costs for upkeep is going to be even more insane. The ride quality must be great, at the cost of hauling. The turbo in towing might be great for the first 2-3 years, but that turbo working overtime is going to shorten the life of the engine. You also lost a few hundred lbs of towing from losing the rigidity of the leaf pack. Wait until the computers start to crap out too since, everything is computerized. Even the oil cooling side of the Turbo* has an electronic oil pump. The piping for the coolant side of cooling is all plastic, and goes to one of the hottest parts of the engine. edit: turbo* not tacoma

Way to check mpg: start with full tank. Reset trip odometer. Drive. Refill until full again. Miles driven ÷ gallons on refill = MPG

Great review sir! That MPG is crazy. I currently get 12.4 in my Raptor R. I got 14.2 on a 1200 mile road trip.

You definitely have that truck set up wrong for you to get 11 MPG! Before trading in my 6-Inch lifted fully loaded F-150 Lariat, sitting on 35-Inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires with 22"x12" wheels. I normally got 11 MPG around town or my daily 60mi blended driving commute to work. I would get 13 MPG on a good day if it were all highway driving! The guys at TFL Truck just tested the fuel economy on their Ranger Raptor, and recorded 20 MPG, and All Terrain Nation recorded 18 MPG with their Ranger Raptor, so your math isn't mathing here!

It isn't as good as Lexus Nori Green but the Ford Shelter Green Metailic would look good on that thing. #needsadiesel

Had a Ranger when it was a Mazda B2000

I like it for the capability but I wish it was slightly more squared off with wider flares. When I am ready to move on from my tacoma I will consider this for sure.

I'm a fan of the Ranger, but I'm keeping my '19 as long as possible. The '24's are even bigger.

Front end looks meh. No v6 is sad. Gx is the better option when they iron out the engine kinks.

I was looking at the Colorado ZR2, and I can't believe I am going to say this, but one of the reasons I passed was the low gas mileage. Amazingly this seems even worse 😂😂

The new Ranger is a very fine mid sized truck! I got mine here in Brazil with the 3.0 V6 Diesel engine. It has the same torque as the Raptor, but get way better fuel economy, I can get 23 / 24 mpg. Also the off-road capabilities are very good even with the 20 inch dual purpose tires, on a known road I didn´t passed 70 kph in my S10 (Colorado) now with the Ranger I was doing over 100 kph and not feeling anxious like I was out of control. Our Ranger can carry 1.020 kg (2,248 lbs)in the bed and can tow up to 3.100 kg (6,834 lbs)

Funny things I went a checkout a lucid air grand touring performance. And it's not 1050hp It's a actually 1111hp . Apparently it's 61hp higher and that is the number that it directly said on the sticker it's self,as if that's the quoted hp from the factory. And as we know from teslas with there acceleration boost that they sell ,a 61hp difference in hp can net you. .5 second decrease in 0 to 60, top end and mid range.

This is a fantastic SUV but I’d rather get a Lexus GX550 Overtrail for a little more money, the new 4Runner coming out soon is also a great option for less money than the LC/GX

Appreciate the video & work you put into it. 👍🏼 But the issue with the new 4 cyl turbo’d Toyotas isn’t the “fresh out of the box” performance, it’s the longevity.

The problem Is not how good It Is, the problem Is that in Italy they ask 86k and more.

Not a fan of the stepped rear window, looks odd. Rear wiper needs to be positioned right to close top window hatch 😏 Front window way to steep. Gonna keep my 2012 Prado 3.0 Tdiesel for the foreseeable futures. Best of the last 😉

I have that vehicle, I’ve never had to push the ac button on just alway set at whatever temp I want and stays there, maybe something in settings? So far not much to complain about.

I just got the exact same vehicle. After 1k miles I am 100% impressed. Way more than I thought. I have had them all but this is by far my favorite so far. I have had the older Land Cruiser 200, 4Runners and sequoias. Love the power, tech and comfort so far.

I don’t think the payload you report is accurate, I’ve read on forums that it is around 1100, and that is per the sticker by the door
